LOTUS OF THE HEART
Innocence In My Heart
I hear like a place somewhere forgotten long ago but lingering to recall
Something before Eden before childhood before a first sting of guilt that first word of blame that first shameful hiding in the dark
I hear "Peace" & "Peace"
I hear "Love" & "Love"
I hear "Peace" & "Peace" "Love" & "Love" and other sweet words
But I hear blame
"You" & "You" "It's You!"
I hear Yes, I hear Love
I hear Yes, I hear Peace
But "You" "Oh, yes You!" blame ... "You are to blame!"
I hear echoes from a blameless land
I feel the Peace I feel the Love
I hear "Love" & "Love" "Peace" & "Peace"
Deep in my Heart I hear it I feel it blameless land land so pleasant so loving, so peaceful
the land so beautiful the sweet, sweet land sweetest words & tenderest feelings blameless, inside my Heart
I hear "Praise!" I hear Innocence long lost, regained before Eden before childhood before a first sting of guilt that first word of blame that first shameful hiding in the dark with this return to my Heart
